| Was it luck, or meant to be? I ask myself this question on a daily basis as I walk into our Southwest Airlines Headquarters each and every day. I landed in Dallas, September of 2007, as an Intern for the Public Relations Team in the Corporate Communications Department. Not only was my internship literally a flight to remember, but it landed me straight into what I can now call a career. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I “grow up”. I still don’t know! All I knew was that I wanted to travel and do really cool things. That is pretty vague, but since being with Southwest, I have traveled all over the country and have had so many amazing experiences. On no other airline will you find the CEO dressed up for Halloween and handing out peanuts on a flight, have Flight Attendants sing you a song while giving the safety instructions, or have an entire Team dedicated to enriching the Culture like at Southwest Airlines. I now work as the Administrative Assistant for the Culture Services Team, and I absolutely LUV it! My flight will forever originate in Michigan, but I have been adopted into this great big Southwest Family, and I really feel like I can call Dallas my home.

The power of coffee not only does wonders for my attention level, of course, but really plays a role mentally for me.I base what kind of coffee I choose to drink each and every morning by how jam packed my day is planned out to be.
